Labcorp OnDemand vs Practiclear FAQ
Questions students ask before deciding
Does Labcorp OnDemand include a signed clearance letter?
Labcorp OnDemand public product pages advertise online ordering, Labcorp collection, and online results. They do not advertise a separate signed school-clearance documentation letter as part of those products. Some programs accept a raw lab result; others require signed documentation that identifies the provider and states what the reviewed result supports.
Why would I use Practiclear if Labcorp OnDemand is cheaper for the lab alone?
Two reasons. First, the signed documentation letter: when a program wants clinician-signed documentation rather than a raw result, Practiclear includes that pathway when reviewed results support it. Second, the Virginia nurse practitioner review is part of the service before ordering and after results return.
Can I use my Labcorp OnDemand result with a Practiclear clearance letter?
Often yes, but Practiclear's existing-record review path is deferred until a dedicated secure upload workflow exists. Contact Practiclear before sending records. No lab order, Labcorp requisition, Evexia order, or lab draw is included in records review.
Is Practiclear Virginia-only, like Labcorp OnDemand state restrictions?
Yes. Practiclear requires that you be physically located in Virginia at the time of the visit because the clinician is licensed to practice telehealth in Virginia. Labcorp OnDemand has its own state-by-state availability rules separately. Practiclear's Virginia-only scope is documented across the site (footer, scope and limitations, telehealth consent).
Next step
If you need the letter, you need the NP — not just the lab.
Practiclear is the bundled Virginia NP-reviewed path: lab order, result review, and signed documentation letter for one direct-pay price per service.
